This year’s REHACARE exhibition in Düsseldorf was a particularly memorable one for the Monarch Mobility team, thanks to a very special meeting with sisters Jana and Mara.
Jana and Mara visited the Monarch stand with their parents, Maike and Dennis Steffen, where they had the opportunity to try out the Air Carbon mobility scooter. For the family, it was a chance to see how the scooter could fit into their everyday lives, but for the Monarch team, meeting Jana and Mara was about much more than demonstrating a product.
Seeing first-hand the difference greater independent mobility could make to the sisters and their family, Monarch Mobility decided to gift Jana and Mara an Air Carbon each.
Following the exhibition, Maike and Dennis got in touch with the Monarch team to express their gratitude and share what the scooters would mean for their family: “For Jana and Mara, this is a huge step towards independence, and for our whole family it makes everyday life so much easier.”
The Air Carbon’s lightweight design and intuitive operation were particularly important to the family, helping Jana and Mara to enjoy greater independence while making it easier for the scooters to be transported and used when the family is out and about.
For Martin Sampson, Group CEO of Monarch Mobility, meeting Jana and Mara and seeing their reaction to the scooters was a moment that stayed with him: “Jana and Mara’s story really touched all of us. When we saw the difference these scooters could make to their independence, giving them an Air Carbon each just felt like the right thing to do.
“We’ve worked in mobility for 25 years, and moments like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. Seeing Jana and Mara leave with their new scooters was, without doubt, one of the highlights of REHACARE for the whole Monarch team.”
At just 10.5kg, the Air Carbon is an exceptionally lightweight mobility scooter, making it a practical choice for both everyday use and transportation.
For Jana and Mara, however, the scooters represent much more than their lightweight design and ease of use. They are a step towards greater independence and new possibilities for the whole family.
It was a truly special moment for everyone at Monarch Mobility, and we wish Jana, Mara and their family many happy adventures with their new Air Carbon scooters.
